Ripping DVD to .mov (Quicktime movie file)

I'm looking to find an app or some software for my MacBook Pro that will allow me to rip a DVD to .mov file type and when I import to iTunes have the 'kind' show up as "Quicktime movie file" with video codec H.264.

Any ideas?

I use iVI Pro. It's $10 and meets my needs. I like it's ability to get metadata. There are free alternatives, such as Handbrake and Subler, that can do the same things. Both are good choices as well just not as convenient to use.

I found a program called DVDxDV and it seems to be doing what I want. I'm playing with the various settings to see which one is optimal.
