If I have understood correctly, the RIAA has filed a lawsuit against a Scottsdale, Arizona man for ripping a legally purchased CD to his computer for use on his personal music player, and at the moment, the RIAA is winning this case. I can infer from this situation that ripping music from legally purchased CDs is now illegal! Sooner or later the RIAA is going to make it illegal to listen to music at certain times of the day! I have read this at a few web sites, and here is a link to the place I read it first. Engadget
