ripping iPod library back to XP

hi guys,

my VAIO recently crashed and i had to reformat and re-install windows XP. now, i had all my itunes library on the computer, including purchased music.

i have re-downloaded iTunes for windows, but am afraid that i will lose my purchased music if i connect my ipod, so havent installed it yet....the computer currently sees the ipod as a hard drive.

can anyone advise me on a step by step process to copy all my music (including the puchased stuff) back to the computer? i realise that i already have to authorise it.
