Hi,

I looooooove my rMB. Love love love it. But it's the least stable Mac I ever used.

Every now and then when I open the lid to wake the computer from sleep the keyboard and trackpad are irresponsive. Fix: close, wait for the computer to sleep again, open, works.

...except this morning it was as if a key were stuck: password would fill itself with ••••• symbols, no matter if I closed and reopened the laptop, hit all the keys, etc. After forced restart I found that keys were working just fine. Nothing was stuck. This was a first, and that's the reason why I am finally posting...

...sometimes – rarely – keys don't work fine. When I strike keys in the bottom row, from C to M, I will end up with an extra spac e. No, I did not hit the space key. I've had this computer for more than a year, and this 'symptom' started maybe a month or two ago.

...and of course the system crashes – random, like the rest...

...and to round things up, the USB-C cable... um... became loose? But only one cable. On both sides. I have two chargers, and connect the laptop to an external monitor sometimes. The other cables are fine. This one somehow not only became loose enough that it slides out just a bit – just enough to stop charging – but it also happened on both sides of the cable at once. Why?! How?! It's original Apple charger and original cable.

I can't reproduce any of those problems except the cable, because they happen completely randomly. They happened on Sierra and now continue happening on High Sierra. I'm going to take the laptop to Apple Store and ask about the cable, but I find it very difficult that they would agree to replace or fix a problem which is near impossible to reproduce, unless I spend an hour at the Apple Store (and then Newton's Law will ensure everything works perfectly).

Do any of those sound familiar? I haven't seen any of those problems reported either here or anywhere else. I never had a Mac I needed to force restart so often, either.
