i've been bringing in my rMB to work trying to figure out how to get Office 365 installed by the university I work for. I've done this for several days in a row.
The other day I took to it work with a full overnight charge, but I did not open the laptop all day. When I got home I only had 85% left on the battery. I did note a dialog box open that wanted me to verify a certificate (for the work network). Power Nap box was not checked, so it shouldn't have been doing any background work for e-mail or iMessage, or whatever else Power Nap supports.
Does the rMB in sleep mode try to automatically connect to a familiar network even with the lid closed? I do have a Moshi iGlaze cover on. I'm wondering if the cover if keep the laptop lid from putting the laptop into sleep mode.
Well I just checked the rMB that was plugged in at home from 5:00 p.m. and unplugged from power at 3:00 a.m. Now there is a 100% charge checking at 3:43 p.m. the next day. So I remain mystified why the rMB at work had a significant power drain without being used all day.
