I just got the base gold and got a clear plastic cover for the top and bottom to protect it. The color is very visible but I won't get any scratches or chipping, all for ten bucks. What are you all doing to protect yours.

I'd probably just get a clear skin. Protects against little scratches but doesn't add weight.

I don't have a 12" MB, but a 13" rMBP and I don't do anything to cover it. No skins, no cases, nothing. I just be very careful when transporting it and setting it down.

Naked in all of its natural glory. My iPhones, iPads and any other device were ascetically designed by artistic engineers and were made to look best unadulterated.

I have a case for my phone, I have a case for my Apple Watch, yet, I do not use any sort of case, or covering for my laptop. Never did, and they seem to hold up extremely well. Of course when I travel, it goes into a carrying case/backup that keeps it separate from everything else.
