rMB WiFi and display issues

I have a rMB that has display issue that are only present when connected to a certain wifi network. When connected to my college campus secure wifi connection, my screen randomly goes off and will not come back on, which can only be "fixed" by placing my MB in a slightly leaned back position with the screen open all the way up. I have never been able to replicate this problem on any other wifi network. Any ideas on what could be the cause of this?
