Hi everyone,

I'm an happy owner of a late 2013 13" rMBP. I use it everytime (24/7) plugged with an external monitor and using dual-screen functions. Sometimes I unplugged to take my laptop in travel with me.

I've got 2 simple question:

- Using rMBP plugged with external monitor can give me a lower battery life perfomance (hours for cycle)? I've noticed a difference of 1/2h for cycle...normal?

- Using the laptop everytime plugged with external monitor, can I damage the integrated GPU or somenthing else?

Thanks a lot for your replies and sorry for my terri-bad ENG. :)

Having your battery life go down is totally normal, your GPU is working harder to drive another display so it uses more power.

And like the other poster said, GPUs are made to be used, it's totally fine to be using it all the time.
