I plan to buy new rmbp 13", 2013 and I'm studying chemical engineering in master degree and have to do thesis involving process simulation. My first choice is 8gb/2.6/512 13" so, I want to know whether the ram 8gb for rmpb can handle modeling programs such as hysys and aspen or not. these program run on bootcamp (window 7). In my old window laptop required about 4-5 gb for runing these programs. But I'm not sure is rmbp required more ram than normal laptop? If it's not okay, I will buy the middle model (2.4/256) and upgrading ram to 16 gb instead ( I cannot afford for high model + ram 16 gb). I presonally prefer more ssd. Can anyone tell me your experiences with them?
