I'm looking to get the new 13" rMBP but I don't know if I should upgrade the processor or not?

I'm using it for djing and music production (ableton/maschine etc.)

I'm thinking about getting the 2.6ghz with 16gb ram, but I am also considering getting the 2.9ghz processor (with 8gb ram).

thoughts on this? I do play some games but nothing too heavy, will the better processor make a difference to this?

Cheers!

For music production always go with the RAM. These programs are not as CPU intensive as say video editing, but the more samples you can load into RAM rather than read them from the drive the higher the performance.

I remember when I first switched (quite a few years ago :) ) from 512MB RAM to 4GB. When I loaded the full Toontrack Drumkit From Hell into the RAM I was over the moon with joy and rapture :)
