Is there a way to adjust the "clicky-ness" of the buttons of the trackpad? My left side and right side differ in that the left is more "muted" while the right is the normal (and also slightly more obnoxious) louder clicking sound.

I've heard there's a screw you can tighten below the trackpad to control this, but I don't want to bring it to the Genius at my local Apple store as they seem quite incompetent (they dented my macbook and gave it back to me... One of the reasons why I think this problem is happening in the first place... -_-) I want to solve this problem on my own. I got my pentalobe screwdriver ready.
