Hello you all,
I have got a chance to purchase a new RMBP 15 without a certain budget, so here I would like to ask for some inputs suggesting whether I should go with the late-2013/2014 (GT 750M) or the mid-2015(R9 M370X) for the professional workflow.
Now, before some of you comment that I should wait for the upcoming Skylake/Polaris MBP 15 with the redesign, I should point out that because of some personal reason, I have to make the decision now. I would like to wait until WWDC, but I have to take the chance now for my next few years of computation need.
Here are some of my major concerns toward the decision:

Should I go with AMD(which excels at OpenCL) or Nvidia(which is the proprietor of CUDA)? I am not a working professional, but it becomes my concern since I am learning to use some of the multimedia and CAD software, and I would like to make this purchase as future-proofing as possible. What are the Pro Applications that heavily rely on CUDA? If so, does the GT 750M excel The Radeon in these apps?

Also, I am aware that the R9 M370X is a rebranded Cape Verde Radeon HD 8870M, a 3-year-old card, yet it has 640 shaders. The 750m is a Kepler but only sports 384 pipelines. What card do you think I should go with in term of future support?

It worths to mention that I do not play any game on my Mac. When I notice that the R9 M370X gives the MBP 15 a nice bump of framerate in graphically intensive games, do you think if the similar effect will apply to Pro apps?

Finally, do you advise me to go with i7-4980HQ or just the 2.5 GHZ i7-4870HQ? Does the higher clock speed worth the additional cash?

Anyhow, It will be a huge leap for me upgrading from a baseline MBA 13 mid-2013. I would like to say a massive thank you to your advice.

Cheers,
Dean
