Hi all, has anyone had their retina screen replaced from Apple UK store if so what are the costs? My screen has the dreaded Anti reflective coating wearing off. I don't have Apple care sadly. Is a repair worth it, I don't plan to replace my mac book till mid 2017.

You don't need Apple care the uk gives you 6 years of cover for inbuilt defects, the coating coming off is a known defect and they really have to do it for free. Go to the apple website and print off there own statutory rights and take them with you to the Apple Store.

Hi all, I can confirm I have had my MacBook Pro screen replaced it only took Apple 2 days, picked up this morning. I did not have to pay as I fell under the quality control program. Thou I have noticed I had a Samsung display and it has been replaced by an LG display, should I be concerned about ghosting issues or was that resolved. Screen seems great no yellow tint at all that most complain about.

Hats off to Apple
