I'm looking to buy two external displays. What is the best monitor I can get so that the resolution is at >30hz on both? I know that i can't have 4k at 60hz, so that's out of the question. What would you recommend?

LG Curved 3440x1440 60Hz 34" is probably the best I can think of. Might have problems driving that large of a resolution though. You could always go down to the non curved 2560x1080 ultrawide which is $800 cheaper. Those are IPS.

Maybe a ROG Swift at 2560x1440 144fps, though I'm not sure how well that'll work. However this is a TN panel.

My dual 60Hz setup is very sweet, but not cheap.

I have an LG 34UM95 34" 3440x1440 sitting in front of me, and a Dell P2715Q 27" 4K sitting on a desk arm to the left.

So I get to enjoy both the "ultra-wide" and "4K" worlds. When I need, want to run something 4K, I have it. On the 34", I usually have a full Chrome window on the left and a full Firefox window on the right.

Sweet, sweet setup, but ran me ~$1,550. But hey, I'm 51 and you only live once, amiright? :D :apple:
