Hi, I have a 2015 rMBP with what appears to be a light bleed (if it is called such) around the edges. Is this normal? I have had a few MacBooks, never a retina, and never noticed this.

I do have case on the rMBP.

I as of tonight just noticed this upon start up.

I have been hearing random popping on the monitor for the last few months. I posted on that once, but so far there are no rhyme or reason.

Any suggestions are helpful.

Some degree of backlight bleed is normal, and it can vary a lot. Your photos are more exposed than what the human eye would normally see, it appears, so it's hard to tell if it's normal. If the machine is still under warranty, you could ask at an Apple Store whether yours is within expected bounds.

Hi, I agree. I took pics in the dark to see the bleed better. I just noticed it today. Weird, never noticed in the past 5 or so months.

I will be near Nashville in the next two weeks, so perhaps a trip to Apple store to have this and the popping noise checked out.

I don't have apple care, but I do have repair service until Nov 2017
