rMBP + 30" cinema display corrupted picture

have anyone had anything similar to this (check attachment)

basically, the top of the screen is replicated (scrolling effect) in the bottom under the dock :-S

and once i change any of the display settings, i get 4 confirmation dialog boxes :-S irritating, i will reboot to see what happens, but was annoying to see that !

fixed after a reboot as expected !
if every time i connect my 30" cinema display to the rMBP i need to reboot, that would be annoying !
