Hi, first post here, and my first Mac, so please be gentle if this is old news.

I've been having the black screen after login problem, and one of the solutions posted was to boot into safe mode and then restart. The thing is, I've done it twice now, and both times the battery life has pretty much DOUBLED.

The battery is currently on 35% with an estimated 3h remaining. Yesterday I went the entire day (about 8 hours) at a client without plugging in. Normally I'd get about 4-5 hours.

I'm not doing any heavy work (Sparrow for email, Espresso for coding, Finder, and a few other apps I open and close as needed), and as such it's only using the Intel GFX. I'm still finding it incredible though.

Anyone else experience this? Any way to get this type of battery performance all the time?
