This problem has plagued me since owning the latest Thunderbolt Display -- from my MacBook Air to my now retina MBP 13". And it's not the TBD. All firmware is also up to date.
Yet, I still have trouble connecting my rMBP to my Thunderbolt display. It just doesn't recognize it without me needing to unplug and reboot my rMBP. ANd sometimes it takes multiple reboots before the TBD will recognize and connect with my MacBook.
So, what the hell is the deal? I've researched it over and over again on the web and it seems numerous people have this same problem.
Is there not yet a solution from Apple?
Anybody can fill me in or suggest any new solutions?
