Hi,
Any of you using the rMBP as media center/HTPC?
Just curious to see if that work well on a entertainment set up and if the rMBP wakes up on the fly when you select it using a iPhone remote app or Logitech Harmony Touch.
Also does anybody set up this same computer as Time Machine back up hub?

I am in between getting the Mac Mini or rMBP 13" to achieve the above and take for an ocasional work travel trip. Since the place I go have available a TB display I am considering the Mini.

The rMBP includes support for a Thunderbolt display also, and it's a lot more portable.

As to using it as a "media center", if you mean using it to stream movies directly to a HDTV via something like Apple TV and such, it'll work.

'course, we all know how well Microsoft's media center PC concept went over, right?

I mean using it connect to my HDTV direct. I would use the TB/Display port to HDMI adapter.
I would ATV as well.
I just wonder with I close the lid on the rMBP it would wake up at any moments notice like the Mini does.
