Decided to run a hardware test on my 2014 rMBP, just for the heck of it today. Got an error about the battery.

How long does it take them to replace the battery? Do they do it in the store?

I was just looking for information about this as I ran a diagnostic check on my rMBP and noticed the same code pop up. Called Apple and they told me to take it to a certified Apple Repair Store (since I do not have any Apple Stores within the area) so I will be doing that tomorrow. She specialist over the phone had me do PRAM reset and another reset and the code still came up.

Did you ever end up taking yours to the store?

Yeah. I did take it to the Apple Store. The funny thing is that the morning before the appointment, I ran the test multiple times and it had stopped giving me an error. I had let the battery run to almost dead the night before, so maybe that helped? They tested it at the store and everything showed as normal, so I'll just keep an eye on it.
