rMBP + Cinema Display Lagging?

Hey,

I am running my 15" rMBP on a cinema display.
Sometimes i get short system freezes for 5-10 seconds, or when i flick through mission control 'spaces' it will lag for a few seconds.
Is there a solution for this or is that a hardware problem on my end?

The freezes dont sound normal... Ive used a 13" rmbp on a cinema display and it lagged some in Photoshop and general UI smoothness but never froze. I always assumed the 15" would be fine so what you're experiencing is a bit alarming. How does it perform with the 15" lid closed while using the display? What model 15"? OS? Latest updates installed?
