In yo' bizness
I'm looking at a couple of used 2015 macbook pro's: 8/128 and 8/256 in particular.

They are likely to have some cosmetic imperfections, but are functionally perfect. I believe the price of the 2015 8/128 is $950 and the 2015 8/256 is like $1100.

The extent of the issue is likely to be some relatively minor nicks and scratches, but otherwise the computers are supposed to be functionally perfect with full applecare warranty.

Are these prices competitive or should I try to negotiate down, due to the possibility of a resale value hit?

The main concern for me would be if any are the type of imperfections that could get worse over time. Also, how concerned are you about resale value?

I wouldn't consider 128gb at that price, just my opinion.

I wouldn't worry about minor cosmetic issues.

If the seller won't negotiate, you can pick up refurbished 2015 rMBPs for about $150 more than the prices you posted. They'll be in new condition and they'll have full warranties.

I don't think the cosmetic issues could worsen, really. I think they are just minor nicks and scratches. I plan on putting a case on the mbp in any event.

I usually keep my computer a good while. However, I would like to have solid resale value if possible.

How much do you think I could negotiate down? $100? $150?

The prices are way too high, considering you can get them for maybe $150 more from Apple on the refurb store, complete with 1 year warranty and eligible for Apple Care.
