Hi,

I want to be able to use ethernet cables on my rMBP but as we all know I need an adapter. I saw that ethernet to usb adapters are very cheap on ebay (4 USD) compared to ethernet to thunderbolt adapters which are 38 USD. My question is what is the catch? Am I going to get any problems with ethernet to usb adapters?

What are you experiences with this?

Thanks.

Both of the Apple adaptors work, I have no experience of third party versions. There is marked difference in speed between the two (c 10 X), but no problems in my experience.

I am assuming you are using the ethernet for highest speeds possible. Thus your best bet is Thunderbolt.
