rMBP Gamers: How to display GTA4 in full screen at non-native resolutions

Calling all rMBP GTA4 gamers, I've realised GTA4 on my rmbp at non retina resolutions does not cover the entire screen but is 'letterboxed' or confined to a smaller area relative to the size of the resolution.

Have tried changing various drivers as well as windows scaling options but to no avail. Any idea how I may resolve this? TIA!

Are you using a 16:10 resolution option?

If not you should expect letterboxing, and should prefer it, as if it wasn't there the image would be stretched.
