Hello,

I just got my new laptop and have noticed screen blotches on the top bar. Initially I thought my screen was defective or damage but after further inspections I cannot say for sure.

It is only visible while looking at the main desktop bar. The same bar even in Full screen mode looks perfect. If I take a screen shot they show up in the picture. What would cause that?

Thanks,
Reid

Here are some shots.

I think it's your wallpaper. haha
Relax, my friend. I think your MB is okay.

Also, it could be just my paranoia but you may want to hide your serial number in that image.
Not sure why, but whenever I see unboxing videos in YT, they always cover their serial.

the top bar is transparent so you see the stars in your wall paper. you can set it to solid if you want

Haha, glad your screen is OK. Legitimate concern though. I just saw a used rMBP 2012 with a sort of "hotspot" that actually looked a lot like that, but only with a white or other light colored background
