Hey guys,

Maybe a month ago my rMBP 13" 2013 started having an issue with the headphone jack. It hisses terribly but I can still hear music, although it sounds like it's muffled and 15 meters away.

I have tried an NVRAM and PRAM and SMC reset and tried tweaking the MIDI Controller but nothing has worked so far. Physically the jack looks fine, inside and out. Unless it's an internal connection, in which case I can't do anything about it myself, what else could be done?

Any help would be great.

NOTE: I've tried using several pairs of headphones from cheap ones to very expensive ones and they all have the same sound. USB headphones work just fine.

I think the physical jack may be broken. Hopefully you're still within warranty as the jack is soldered to the Logic Board, and can be a costly repair otherwise
