RMBP Hinge Question

Could some of you folks here tell me if the Retina Macbook Pro hinges are the same as the ones on the MBA? Does it slide a real tiny bit from side to side like it does on a MBA? Also does ot make a crack-like sound every now and then if you apply or push a real tiny bit on the crease/spine area of the black plastic?
 
No sliding here on my 15" rMBP. No crack sound either.
It is real hard to open the display, though. I wish it required a little less force to do this.
I use a cMBP at work and it is way easier to open the lid.
My 2 cents.
