Yep, it passed. It happens when im rendering in after effects (cc 2015) and maybe doing something easy on the side like browsing a page. The CPU is around 60-70%.

SDAVE macrumors 68040 Original poster Jun 16, 2007 3,620 669 Nowhere Jan 22, 2016 #4 If I disable "Automatic GPU switching" this problem goes away. It seems it has to do with the GPU (the kernel panics) and I'm not the only one. There are a lot of threads like these: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5098689?tstart=0 http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/137181/mid-2010s-kernel-panic-gpu-best-options Anyone here experience it? It happens a lot if I have "Auto GPU" on and then I connect to an external monitor. When it's in use the Laptop gets a kernel panic.
