rMBP late 2013 and 21:9?

im planning to buy a Dell U2913WM 21:9 Display.

Did anyone tried this before? does the performance suffer a lot? I dont want the FANs to run like crazy when im only on my normal desktop...

Any Games tested?

Performance with games especially will depend on which model of rMBP you are talking about.

The Dell U2913WM has a resolution of 2560x1080, which is less than the resolution of Apple's 27" display which is 2560x1440. So any review of MBP performance with an external Apple 27" should be comparable to the performance you will get on the Dell.
