After 3 months, just one fine day everything seem normal with proper shut down, five minutes later couldnt power it on. Tried everything, smc reset, hold down for many many minutes and etc.. nothing turns on.
So went to the service centre, got back the repaired mac 3 days later and was told they replaced the logic board. (makes me think this is very scary, what if there's no warranty and the repair will definitely cost a bomb on the logic board)
After the return, my bootcamp was on the finder, but when i power on press alt no bootcamp found. My additional language input was missing and screen saver options was set back default.
All these contribute to the reason of logic board replaced? Because one thing i find it strange was when i first on it after the repair my last safari windows and other application windows appeared.
Another sad thing happened, all the while the rmbp never been out and was going for its first trip to the service centre, I put it into my new Cote&Ciel messenger spree bag (this is not a cheap bag), and before i got to the door i dropped my keys and when I bend over to pick up the keys my bag slipped from my shoulder and *ding* the bag dropped to the floor from a 18 inches distance. I open up and realised the back corner edges top and bottom side had a ding.
Fortunately apple service centre said these dings doen't affect the warranty. But this incident really affected me and so i wrote to Cote&Ciel and explained to them what happened and suggested that they should look into implementing a better bottom side protection for user laptop.
Well they returned my email the next day and explained that as this bag is not use as a durable and protection bag i should put a sleeve with it. Hello! with the sleeve in I dun think the rmbp can fit into this 15 inch bag any way.
This is a really cool bag but what a disappointment, looking for another travel bag now for this baby and the Cote&Ciel bag is left in the store room with a lesson learnt.
