rMBP mic volume

Anyone else having problems with the mic volume on their rMBP via Skype?

I have the input volume maxed out in System prefs and I have tried having the Skype setting for auto adjust turned on and off. I have not tried FaceTime.

Also anyone know where the mics are actually housed in the body?
