TheMacBookPro macrumors 68020 May 9, 2008 2,133 3 Jun 25, 2012 #2 ...that means the application does not have HiDPI graphics. There's no way to bypass it since the application does not have the high resolution graphics to open in high resolution mode.

You can toggle a flag to make it available, read more here: http://developer.apple.com/library/...al/HighResolutionOSX/Explained/Explained.html Note the checkbox is seen by right clicking on a apps icon and selecting get info.
