Rmbp questions

How would playing games (skyrim, saints row 3, fallout nv, battle field 3 etc) on a 1080p external affect game play, how well would it be able to handle these games. (should be better right since lower resolution)

For people who own a rmbp, have you noticed any frame rate issues. That article that said scrolling Facebook reduced it to 20fps scared me.
