Are there any updates till when there will be any aftermarket SSD options for the rMBP

any news at all.. I'd buy a TB for at least $1,200 if available

Damn. That's dropping some serious cash. You could buy a nice NAS or some thunderbolt enabled raid storage and get a lot more space.

I don't understand people's phobias of external storage. I regularly use 2-3 USB drives and an external drive. It's way more cost effective and makes your data more portable.

Once third party SSD options are available Apple will change the connecters on the next rev. of their SSD for their laptop. Mac air 2011 SSD is not the same as 2012 SSD I don't think Apple wants anyone to mess with the inside of their computers.
