How is the stocking of the rMBP in the Apple retail stores?

I am just curious on if they are starting to not be scarce.

Three of the four Apple stores in my area, have all models in stock as of this week. Out of nothing more than coincidence I pass each of them on the way to my office.

Somehow "like Magic" my car pulls into the parking lot before I know it. At that point it's only appropriate that I pay them a visit :D

No wonder I own so much Apple stuff...

The Apple Stores are carrying the "base" configurations in store - the ones you listed as "wanting" would have to be ordered.

The Apple Stores have the 2 standard channel configurations and the maxed out top configuration.

2.3GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD ~ $2199
2.6GHz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD ~ $2799
2.7GHz, 16GB RAM, 768GB SSD ~ $3749

As for other stores, Best Buy only have the first two configurations; B&H usually sells other [non-standard] configurations, but those look like to be on backorder.

I am leaving US in 12th so I wanted as emergency which looks impossible :(

You can use the iOS "Apple Store" app.

Add a rMBP to your cart, then select "pickup" for delivery. It will show you Apple Stores that have them in stock.

Looks like most stores have most configurations at this point.

Apple is genius for leaving the 16GB models to online orders though. Makes the impulse buyers settle for lower priced 8GB ones that they would likely impulse upgrade later.
