rmbp usb port question

Hi all,
did any of you notice one of your usb ports(the one on my right facing the laptop in y case) being more powerful than the other? When I plug in my external HDD it is not recognised on the left port but appears when I use the right. Any thoughts?

Noticed the same thing. I connect a keyboard to the left port anyway. That works fine.
