Hi!

I have got my new Retina MacBook for around one week ago, and its perfect!

But now i have changed my desk where my MacBook stands on and got space for my 26" TV, so i decided to connect it to my MacBook via HDMI so i had two screens (My TV is gonna be used to iTunes or much work screen) But when i go from my Mac i lock it with the screensaver or by closing the lid but when i close the lid then i just continue powered on and not going to sleep, how can i make my MacBook to go to sleep with the external screen on when i close the lid?

I'm not sure how you change that setting, but you can just click the Apple logo and select sleep in the top right corner of your screen. You do not have to close the lid.

Unplug the dongle from the computer its a stupid function of the hardware. The Mac cannot sense that the monitor is off. All it sees it an active display port dongle. Also try SwitchResX.
