RMDP and Dell 30 inch Monitor

I have a RMBP and a Dell 30 inch display. My current MBP with the apple DVI-D adapter has no problem driving the Dell at max resolution (2560X1600). For some reason the RMBP cant drive it above 1600X1000. Anyone know why or have any ideas?

Some other members of the forum have had this problem with a dell monitor but I can't remember what thread I read it on. Seems to be only with a particular dell 30 inch model. Hopefully there will be an update for it soon.

Seems to be a bug in the version of Lion that ships on the Retina MBP.
