Was wondering if the new rMINI is showing the same issues with RAM that has crippled the iPad Air? Has anyone performed the Safari "number of tabs" test to see how it performs? Hoping this model is adequately equipped for basic everyday usage.

Disappointed about the washed out, low-contrast screen that it had though, which may affect my decision.

Crippled the Air? It's not a RAM issue, it's an iOS7 issue. My old mini had the same Safari crash problems after I upgraded.

Crippled? Really? I'm typing this in chrome with 12 tabs open. I've had zero crashes and have zero low memory errors in the diag log

Weird thing but I'm having less issues with the rMini than the Air. I can open and flip through 5 Apple.com tabs with no issue
