Hello,

I've just ordered a Sandisk Cruzer Extreme 32 GB usb stick on which I plan to install some version of linux (thinking Ubuntu 13.10). I plan to use this primarily for two things:

  1. Playing movies: The rMBP will be hooked to a receiver when I want to watch movies. The main reason I want to use linux for this is to enable bit streaming of HD audio (like DTS HD MA and Dolby True HD) -- since OS X does not support bit streaming of these audio formats. I'm expecting to use XBMC here.
  2. Linux development - mainly some OpenGL coding/testing.
Are there any things I need to look out for?
Has anyone been able to bitstream HD audio from ubuntu on rMPB with nVidia Geforce GT650m?

Thanks in advance.
