I am going on a 3000 mile road trip in the near future, and I want my iPhone to help me out along the way. I have the 3G iPhone.

Currently, I have the Pioneer DEH-7600MP CD Player in my Ford Focus. I bought the adaptor kit so that the iPhone *should* charge and play music through the stereo. While it does play music, the new iPhone 3G isn't supported and won't charge. I had the old iPhone, and it would charge and play music.

Right now, I don't have my iPhone mounted in any way in the car. It just seats on my seat, slides around.

Here are my questions:

1) I've seen adaptors on teh market that allow the iPhone 3G to charge with accessories that don't support it. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Any experience?

2) I need a way to mount my iPhone in the car! I'm thinking of mount that goes in the cupholder, has an arm and holds the iPhone at the end. Does anyone have experience with these?

Thank you.
