Roadtrip to Apple Store or Wait for 29th?

All right everybody I have a predicament. I don't have an Apple store here in Bakersfield CA and the closest one is 2 hours away in San Luis Obispo. I don't have a preorder and everyone on my town in just selling off their preorders. So should I make the drive to San Luis and get there around 9PM tonight and wait in the no reserve line to get a phone or wait until the 29th where I'll just wait in front of AT&T?

Nothing bad ever came out of a road trip. I say go.

I am planning on a 2 hours trip to my closest apple store to get a bumper, around 7 am. My iphone preorder still in Fort Worth, TX. Hopefully it will not be sold out or better not be just pink left.
