Hi All,

this is my first post :).. cool forum btw

I would like to know if it's possible to run a roaming profile setup via some app for our design team, they log on to different macs and need to take their mail config with them and shorcuts etc. We have mainly apple G5's with two new mactel pros on the way.

Any ideas ?

2nd question:

Is it possible for me to run outlook 2003 windows version on the apple macs via wine or somthing similar that is robust and stable enough for a production environment ? - I wanted to try the evo mail client, but it doesnt seem to work as i **** loads of decompiled files, and no installer.

Cheers,

Hard to answer with specifics without knowing how your network is configured (i.e, type of server, using Active/Open Directory etc). Yes, it's doable. If you're using a Windows server, then check out www.macwindows.com, which has howtos on a lot of this kinda stuff.

Wine will not help you on the G5s - it's Intel only. Your only PPC option is Virtual PC. On Intel, however, it'll work just fine - we use Crossover Office (commercialised version of Wine with better compatibility) to run Outlook on Mac workstations here.
