This is great - not only is it a possibility to save the Hubble from burning up in reentry sooner than expected - it might be development of new technologies and robots that can end up being cheaper than humans for doing a wide range of space missions.

this would be wonderful! the hubble has provided us with so many wonderful images! with the grounding of the shuttles, its fate seemed sadly sealed. here's to keeping things running smoothly!!

This is just another example that shows the future of humans on earth is bright. When there is a need, man can find a solution to solve the problem. Robots are used to make cars, so I see no reason why that couldn't complete this task successfully also.
