RocketFish RF-AHD25 enclosure with eSata?

So has anybody tried one of these over eSata?

I've got two of them and they sell for typically < $20 in the grey market.

Having said that they aren't Oxford 924 or anything near that so I'm just wondering what kind of speeds they offer over eSata.

I've got two of them but I haven't received my BC338 AKE card yet.

how did this work out for you? I pretty much put the same solution together for my MBP, but get kernal panics.

how are you powering it?
