Hello, I recently purchased the Rode VideoMic to use with my Canon T3i, and am having issues. I plus the mic into to the T3i, and when I record it dosen't pick up any levels. I have messed around with all of the audio settings and nothing works. It only produces a hiss, but picks up on no audio. I have heard of people using this mic with the T3i, but mine just does not want to work. I may simply have a faulty mic, but can anyone help? Thank you!

I'd get in touch with Rode...It sounds like a faulty mic. to me...I have a couple of NT's never missed a beat, but Rode CS are great.
Also make sure you have a fresh charged 9 volt battery. When they go they will produce a slight hiss sometimes, it happened once to me.
