Rogers Handset Replacement Guarantee

Roger's has a handset replacement program that replaces your rogers phone from damage or theft. I was wondering if I can buy an iPhone 4S unlocked from Rogers and buy a SIM card at another company, say Koodo, and still use Roger's handset replacement program? Thanks (This will be my first phone so if I sound like a total noob it's probably because I am)!

I don't think that will work. You are not using their service so why would they replace it for you?
