First of all I think the new data plans are a joke,
200mb or 2gb there is no in between why not 1gb and 2gb
this is clearly an attempt to make money on overages.
Since ATT is so proud of their Roll over minutes everyone should call and demand that their data usage should be roll over too seeing as how there is no more unlimited, while you at it tell them you want free SMS as it requires very little if any network consumptation.

And you should call them and tell them you want a free iPhone because their profits are in the billions and an iPhone only costs a few hundred, they can afford it!

seeing as how they raised the ETF they should come down on the 2 year contract price.

That would be ideal (along with SMS rollover for those who needs it).

Unfortunately, they are following old telco motto (along with other carriers)

"We don't care, we don't have to, we're phone company"

They are all going to be doing this going forward, Verizon raised their ETF to $350, and now they charge you $35 for any phone returned before your 30 Days.

They are all going to the scaled Data, in fact if you ask them, all the fees went up on both for the insurance, and deductible.

They are all doing this and it will only start costing us more, who cares if they give you free minutes, they nickel and dime you to death on everything else.

What does an EFT have to do with their fees?

ATT and other carriers subsidize their phones, so you wont have to pay so much upfront for the device (but you knew that)
Since they are raising their ETF then price of the phone on a two contract should cost less.

They're raising ETFs because they're sick of people buying iPhones at the subsidized price, cancelling the contract, paying the ETF and selling the phone on eBay for a profit.

In case you didn't notice, the old ETF, plus the subsidized iPhone price, was cheaper than the unsubsidized price, so when people did that, they screwed AT&T out of money. The higher ETF is so AT&T can recoup the cost of the phone when people pull crap like that.
