Rollback to 10.6.5

Hey all

Its been a long time since I've rolled back to a previous install. There are issues with the bluetooth wireless keyboard in 10.6.6

Do I reinstall the OS from the snow leopard dvd? If I do will I lose my data if I dont have it backed up?
