Hi there guys. I gave a friend of mine one of my old macs a while ago. It's a dual 2 GHz powermac g5 with 4 gigs of ram. It had a geforce 6800 ultra in it, but the card decided to go bonkers a year ago. Visual artifacts, freezes the whole computer and stuff like that. I had to put back the fx5200 it came with when i bought it. It works fine with that, but now my buddy wants to do some gaming on it. I have around here a gigabyte radeon 9600pro from an old pc that i want to flash in order to use it in the g5. I've flashed a few videocards before, mainly 9800s. But i can't find the old repository where i got the rom files back then. Can anyone give me a link or something with rom files so i can get this card to work? I know there was a huge difference between the fx5200 and the radeon 9800. Can anyone give me an opinion about the difference between the fx5200 and their radeon 9600? Thank you in advance.
